Dyrham Herd

Despite the severe weather warning it was quite pleasant out there today, so we had another wander into Dyrham Park. We came across the fallow deer males toward the southeast section of the estate, and stood entranced as they gently passed by at no more than a couple of metres. 

Many of them still had the remains of velvet hanging from their antlers, and none of them seemed particularly bothered by our presence. At one stage it was clear I had erred in my selection of the 100-400L, since I could shoot little more than a head, they were that close!
