Huge Moth

Took a little detour this morning to an out of the way place and came across this huge grapevine hawk moth (hippotion celerio) on the pathway.

He wasn't looking too good and didn't move even when Toto gave him a lick. Didn't move when I got right up close with the phone either. :( Beautiful markings and I've only ever seen one other a few years ago, they're originally from Africa I think.
