Humidity is Rising, Barometre getting low

To look at this shot you would never believe that a mere 5 hours ago the rain was bouncing of the street and springing up about a foot in the air.

The cycle path was, in places, a foot deep in water.  I know this because my poor feet had to pedal my bike through those trenches.

When I got up, dressed in my "biking" gear my husband looked at me and said "You cannot be serious".  (Exactly like John McInroe).   I grinned and said, "it's stopping and it's going to be sunny later".

I was right. It was sunny later, but it didn't stop the whole way in.  I can remember the last time I was that wet.  It was after a beach party which ended amazingly with a massive thunderstorm that soaked us all to the skin.  Walking home at 3 am in the morning, every article of clothing (not that I was wearing that much to be honest) dripping wet.

IT was the same this morning.  D. drove past me as I made the final approach. She almost skidded across the road in shock at seeing me cycling in the torrents of rain.   I got into the office, and squelched to my seat.  I got up to the shower and stood in colder water (the rain was quite warm) to cool down a bit.

Then I hung my soaking clothes, including shoes which were loosing water all over the floor.

About 1130, the sun was out and I decided that outside might be a better bet for drying them. And I was right - See my tee-shirt and leggings blowing on the handlebars.

My socks and my gloves are perched on the holder at the back.

Yay for Scottish Weather.

A bit of excitement, and near drowning, followed by sun tan session.
