What a fantastic day!
Woke up nervous and to grey skies and a strong breeze - not ideal for the fun day. Was in work for 8 (on a Saturday!!) which wasn't as early as some of the other team members. We watched the car park begin to fill up with marquees, gazebos and rides and ran about getting everything ready for 12.
There were people queuing at the gate ready for the opening, which we could have only hoped for when we started the process. Bang on time the rain started - fortunately there were only showers, we were very lucky.
The afternoon passed very quickly and everybody seemed to have a good time. The factory tours were well attended and ran over time, and the raffle prizes went down a storm. It was good to see so many people had turned up.
We then started tidying up, moving left over stocks and counting money - lots raised for charity. By 7pm we were just about done and all absolutely exhausted but it was a great day and all worthwhile. Lottie had a whale of a time helping us out with the tidying up - as you can see!
We had only been home a short while when the heavens opened so somebody was obviously looking down on us for the afternoon.
Well done to all the team and thanks to everybody who came along :-)
