Trout on a Tile

This is Sakura holding her clay tile.  Her class visited the trout hatchery and learned about how trout are raised from eggs and released into our lakes.  She is 6 years old and this was her first time making a tile.  She has made gills and a lot of spots from little bits of clay and put these on the body of the trout.  I like the way the tail is hanging off the tile.  Underneath the trout she has made tall weeds.  She is a star and has confidently made a trout shape and has attached those little pieces well because nothing has fallen off.  Sakura told me she was going to give it to her mother because she likes fish and likes trout best of all.  It is going to hang in their lounge because there is already a hook in the wall that they can't take out.
