Up ont moors :)
The heather is looking purplicious in West Yorkshire right now... and as I had a 'right I'm chucking my pen down and stepping away from the mac' moment ... me and Chino went up to Ilkley moor... oh the heather and moody skies.... gorgeous!
I could see for miles and miles.. looking towards the East coast here... a long way off mind! And there you see the 'Cow and Calf' public house where it's rather nice to take refreshment and cosy up in once in a while.
Behind me from here you can walk over the moors back to Bingley... a fair trek and one I've never done.. maybe one day!
I saw on the news this evening that there's a debate going on about the managed burning of heather on the moors contributing to flooding... and that they burn the heather to promote new growth to attract grouse... not really sure on it all but fascinating stuff.. and right now it's beautiful!
(An extra.. of a little bit more purpleiciousness)
