Ballogie

A bit overexposed and satched, this one, from my mobile phone that's not used to finding sunshine and blue sky in Scotland, showing a section of the Dee at Ballogie called the slips, looking over towards the Borrowstone hut. I've seen and hooked quite a few big ones here in the 30-40 lbs class over the years but never managed to catch one. But it's why I go back. You live in hope. Wading this bit on our bank is murder. I fell in once this year, ruining a set of car keys. Gill went in too after I'd suggested she wear a life vest for the first time. The water was only about a foot deep but it was enough to trigger the vest. Oh, I would like to have seen that.
