An Evening with the Hummie Gals

I never seem to head out to photograph the hummingbirds until the light is almost gone... hence the super elevated ISO...  (Still looks much better in large though.)

On one side of my house, the males fought over a feeder.  Zooming, darting and diving at one another... never actually getting to feed.  They were too busy making sure that the other didn't get to the feeder!  On the other side of the house (where there was just a little more light) the females argued over who got to feed... though, they did allow each other to actually feed...  

I had a heck of a time deciding on what to post.  The tiny guard seated against the dark background won me over in the end, but the one with the TWO hummers in one shot was a hard not to put up... Or the one with it's landing gear out (look at those big claws!) had me tempted for a bit... See Extras if your interested.
