Feeding the Giraffes

Saturday, my sweet girl and I headed to a nearby town to FINALLY take advantage of some birthday money (from January) from grandma to Sugar.  We had set up a fun adventure of feeding the giraffes at a local animal park.  We got to go to the giraffe barn, and learn about them, see how they are taken care of and to finally feed them.  It was such fun.  We learned that the giraffe's tongue is an inch long for every foot in height they are.  HOW INTERESTING.   Sugar had the BEST time feeding them.  They were so very sweet.  
We also enjoyed driving around the park TWICE and seeing all the other animals.  We saw rhinos, hippos, zebras, elephants, brown bears, black bears, cheetahs, tigers, buffalo, many types of deer, ostrich, emu, and more and more and more.  We paid a little extra to get a chance to see a mother lion and her 9 week old babies. They were adorable.  
We had such a great day.  I love special days like this with my girl.  I'm the luckiest mama alive.
