OK, it was someone in the house's birthday today and we were out and about doing stuff, both by ourselves, and with our girls (and leasko as well).

Quick rundown -

Out in the morning for our annual trip to see Bridget Christie at The Stand. Excellent as usual. Lunch at the Portrait Gallery afterwards and then over to The Fruitmarket to check out the Phyllida Barlow show which we both really liked. Home for the girls getting in from school and for birthday cake and present opening. Out for tea with leasko and then we left them in the restaurant finishing off desserts whilst we headed across town for the evening's entertainment...

Oh boy, I don't think I've been to such a purely enjoyable gig for a long, long time. FFS at The Festival Theatre (that's the group made up of Franz Ferdinand and Sparks for anyone who's none the wiser). Lots of stuff from the album with a few Franz and a few Mael Brothers' tracks chucked in for good measure. The band looked like they were bloody loving it up there on stage, the crowd certainly were and the whole thing was just ridiculously entertaining. Wow.
