Babysitting

We looked after cousin N for the day today. Her daddy dropped her off round at 10:30 this morning and it's been a whirlwind ever since!

We had a walk to the park and the girls did the summer senses treasure hunt that I had printed yesterday. They both enjoyed finding all the different things even if we did have to change the sheep to a cat (not many sheep in the village!). Then we picked (and mostly ate) some blackberries. A loved them and couldn't eat them fast enough. Not many made it into the bag.

It rained on the way home so N and P gave their wellies a thorough testing in the puddles. A joined in too! He was so cute doing his little mini jumps and was delighted every time he made a splash. When we got home A went for nap and the girls made some puppets. Both were a getting a bit tired afterwards so we all settled under a blanket on the sofa to watch tinkerbell.

Once A woke from his nap the girls went to play upstairs. We didn't hear another peep out of them till it was time for tea.

C came to pick up at 5:30 and then girls then performed their puppet show. It was a strange mish-mash of different plot lines but had me and C giggling!

P and A were both asleep as soon as their heads hit the pillows tonight. Looking after 3 wasn't so bad after all.
