Hands of time

I shot some photos yesterday for a 90th birthday party..these are the hands of Mr. S and his Mrs.   Together for over 70 years with 5 sons and their families.  Can you feel the love?

I introduced myself to Mr. S as he was looking at the old photos that is his family had set up for all to see.   I told him I was going to be taking photos of him with his family and friends.  He said " I have really lived a good life..but I think we can add a few more photos to this table for next year!"   He told me he just got out of the hospital on Friday after suffering a bout of pneumonia.  " I did something stupid" he said.  "I cut the grass with the riding mower and forgot to put a mask on to keep the dust and grass out of my lungs!  I won't do that again."   His daughter in law told me they have a hard time keeping him off the lawn mower.  

I hope I have his spirit and joy of life when and if I live to be 90!
