Cells of Life

Today's treat was an outing to Jupiter Artland just outside Edinburgh with members of the writing group.  It is a glorious place where sculptures by internationally renowned artists are given the space they require - outside the gallery and IN the landscape.

If are Charles Jencks, you create the landscape which becomes the work.  Last time I saw this piece, I was not particularly impressed as much of it was under repair, some of the grass had overgrown, some of the pools were empty and some muddy.  It has been transformed by care and attention.  The various reflections of the sky in the pools were an integral part of the piece.  Stunning.
