dola hill kids

our favourite bush bike ride takes us out past dola hill and onto a great red dust road. we've made friends with some kids out there who have appeared a couple of time here already: naomi and monicah.

today we took them some spinach from our garden, some lollipops and a tennis ball to play with. we had the most wonderful time!

i got talking to monicah's mum, mary, who is 20 years old. she had monicah when she was 12 years old. crazy. mary was one of 15 siblings and now there are only 2 remaining. the really positive part of this story is that monicah is able to go to school and is incredibly bright. hopefully her future can be different.
