Rainy days 'n Mondays

It's Monday, it's rainy but this day hasn't got me down.  It's lovely just to have time. Nowhere to be, no deadlines to meet.  I have a 'to do' list but there's no pressure from anyone but me.

So, pootled around a bit this morning whilst it was still dry clearing more crud from the back garden; did a bit of on-line shed research (I am NOT buying a shed online without seeing it, stepping inside it, sniffing it); a bit of moving piles of dust from one place to another (kind of cleaning) and then hell's teeth it was mid-day and raining.

Time to watch a few episodes of Game of Thrones.  Amidst all the blood and gore there are some really, really sad moments.

And I think my favourite quote so far is:

"Do you think dipping his wick will cure what ails him?"


"There's no cure for being a c***".


It wasn't so much the words, but the setting of the conversation.  Two men clearly worried about one of their acquaintances sharing their concerns over a meal and flagon of wine.  As you do.
