Swanning Around

This swan family were enjoying eating the grass at the canal side today at the Bascule Bridge that links Blairdardie to Gascadden. The cygnets are almost fully grown now although they will stay with their  parents over the winter. Due to the constant proximity of people they are quite tame although one of the young birds hissed when I got a bit too close. However, the parent birds weren't bothered! The extra photos are some close-ups of the family members!
