Every athlete's aim is to lead the field, to jump further, higher, throw further; to cross the line first.

If they don't succeed, the next aim is to achieve a personal best performance - a PB.

The girl in blue won the race, she didn't lead all the way, but the girl in black led for a great part of the race. She didn't win but she ran her fastest ever time - a PB

This weekend's WBC challenge theme is "Lead" the chemical symbol for lead is Pb; this is my entry; the camaraderie of athletes, congratulating the winner and celebrating a PB. Bringing the ambiguity of the English language together in one theme - to lead and achieve a PB or the poisonous but useful metal, lead, Pb.
