ON YER BIKE

We were supposed to be going to the North Yorkshire County Fair, however, the decision was made today by the organisers to cancel the event in view of all the rain lately, making it hazardous both for the livestock and the performing acts I presume.

So we went to Alne village street fayre near York instead. Fabulous show, some great stalls selling local foods and crafts, music provided by solo musicians to a steel band, from jazz to classical, the entertainment was terrific, the highlight for me were the children of the Tholthorpe Jugglers, so much talent and they gave us a wonderful display of balance and dexterity. And the sun shone - the first day in weeks when it hasn't rained.
