A long drive

We drove all the home from London today in order to get back for a Christening tomorrow. It was a long trip, which was made really long by a 1.5 hour delay in traffic (9 hours driving in total). After being stuck in traffic for about an hour we left the motorway and went for a random search for somewhere to have lunch in the Stoke area to get away from the traffic and were really lucky to find a farm cafe with a great big playground. Later we stopped to see Helen, Brian, Frankie and Roxy in their new house near Preston. A lovely big house with a big garden. They also live in a village that has its own ice cream factory so we had to make a visit before setting off on our final 3 hour drive of the day.
