Old Trafford I and II

Took the train to Manchester with Miss K where we saw a frustrating 0-0 draw between Manchester United and Newcastle United at one Old Trafford (extra) then went down the road to see a decent 90 minutes of play between Lancashire and Glamorgan at the other Old Trafford.

At United we were fortunate that the stewards wanted one of our seats for someone with a cast on his leg, so moved us down to the executive seating. Thus, at half time, rather than go out to get a pie we ended up in the Salford Suites, and that the end of the game we rode escalators to get back down to the concourse! At Lancashire, it was more than half way through the day's play so we could get in without paying. 

In the evening we went out to an excellent curry house in east Manchester, near to the guest house where we were staying.
