Happy Birthday Gracie!

It's hard to sum up a day like this or to choose a photo with which to represent it, but this one does a decent job and hopefully captures the joy Grace exuded during her Harry Potter party to celebrate her 8th birthday. All of our family made it and the weather was glorious so all the planned events went ahead: a sorting hat ceremony for the guests; Grace's broomstick training sessions with each house; Horcrux Hunting; pin the scar on Harry; plus lots of homemade Butterbeer and Potter-themed food on hand. I've loved planning this with Grace. She comes into her own when she's thinking about her special interests. It's wonderful to see. Happy birthday darling girl: you're amazing and I've loved the past eight years with you xxxx
