The Perspective of Death

Annual trip from my mum for the Fringe, and busy old day it was.

Tibetan Monks first up (who we'd seen 5 years ago). Just wonderful costumes, and fabulous to get an insight into the dances, prayers and debating.

Champagne lunch in the signet library, then my mum, George and I spent an entertaining hour in the company of former likely lad, Rodney Bewes. Pity he turned down a little photo at the end, but hey, that's his prerogative.

Mel back into town for Blam! which I'd seen a couple of years back (to the day) and had loved and sold heavily. It didn't live up to it. Don't know exactly what was different to last time, but it just felt a bit flat.

Not to worry, dinner at Blackfriars was always going to be fantastic. Mel had a migraine coming on form the strobes at Blam!, so I waited in the rain with her to get a bus him, then back into the stramash of the Pleasance to see The Noise Next Door, which was just utterly superb, proper laugh out loud till you cry, improv comedy. Brilliant stuff.

By the time we were home it was more than 14 hours on the go, but still time for a cuppa, before crashing out.
