Moorland Butterfly
We took capitalised on a lovely afternoon by travelling to Farndale for a moorland walk. Hutton Le Hole was busy with visitors and as we arrived in Farndale we were lucky to squeeze into the last available space.
However, as is often the case, as we climbed out of the valley through the bracken we did not meet any other walkers.
As we dropped back down for refreshment at the Daffy Cafe I spotted this butterfly in amongst the Heather. I struggled to get a shot as it seemed intent on hiding its wings before fluttering deeper into the Heather. The wind was strong and this made for difficult conditions. Just pleased to end up with something after laying down in the quest for a decent photo. Memo to self......check for ticks!
