There and back again

Morcombelake, Dorset

This afternoon looking across the village of Morcombelake  towards Lyme Bay with the flat top of Golden Cap on the right and Langdon Hill woods on the left.

We have had foul weather over the past few days. A lot of the seaside towns along the coast were hoping to have the Red Arrows flying display team for their festivities but most were disappointed because the weather. However the folk at Dawlish were lucky enough to get  the Vulcan bomber as they had held a last minuet whip-round of several thousands to  pay for it to come after being told it would not be flying again. Then on its way back to its base it did a low fly past over our house as I was in the garden cutting the grass.  Apparently we have someone living close by (NO NOT ME) who is important enough to warrant a personal fly by !
