The Sun and the Sky
Playing again with the marigold in the rain barrel, this time with the reflections of the clouds above it looked like sun, though its Czech name is měsíček - Little Moon in English.
In Ancient Rome 'calendae' marked the first days of a month and it was believed that marigold always blossoms at the beginning of a month (must check that out). The name might also originate in the 16th century when the herb was used to help women with irregular menstruation cycle and one of Czech popular names for menstruation is 'měsíčky'.
It was a window washing and studying day today.
Thank you all for your hearts and stars yesterday. They are much appreciated.
