No excuse

There is no excuse really for having lived here for almost 4 years and never making it to the main park in the middle of town. We have the river right outside our place so we never really felt the need to go to this other place.

Anyway, went out for a walk today by the park along the River Ouse and there were more than 20 of the mute swans there (along with other such feathered wildlife) all trying to de-bread some humans.

This one swan refused to get into the water and instead walked all the way round the edge of the pond, right up behind the family with the bread and proceeded to take what he wanted. Pretty clever, it made them drop what they had to get out of its way, with the added bonus of being up on the ledge and not on the water like the others who then couldn't reach the bread!
