Surrounded
It was only at about 10.15 this morning when I'd already been up for three hours and had made breakfast, installed software, washed the pots, had a couple of coffees, all that kind of normal stuff that I decided I'd better call my dad and wish him a happy father's day. The other grown-up in the house said that she'd ring her dad too once I'd got off the phone. It was only then that we both clicked that it was father's day and I was a father! I'd somehow divorced mesen from the fact that after nine years of being a parent I was indeed a dad and therefore due lavish attention on today of all days. I ain't complaining in the slightest, it was just a weird realisation that took a while to register.
I did get to take in a morning cinema trip, a preview screening of Your Sister's Sister, one of those films that thinks it's a lot smarter than it actually is (that title alone is annoying as all hell the more I think about it too...) It was OK. And not much more.
Luckily, the killer tunes kept me going on the walk home. Loving the recent purchases like this one.
Note: This wall has featured before, but not this particular composition. Unless of course someone wants to look back through several hundred blip entries and prove me wrong.
