Good advice

We were working at the entries tent for the whole time, but thankfully it was much less manic. People were generally really nice and you got to know some of them. The working affected my orienteering, but compared to some others I did very little. It’s a sport run by volunteers and we all have to do our bit. We were running on the terrain used for the long distance race at the World championships. I walked it carefully and was really accurate until the open area near the finish, where I made a 3 minute error. It was my best result, but not quick. Oh, the blip is a sign in the port-a-loos.
