A gentle morning, some canvas prep and then to the new 'term' of football for Tom at Spartans; I sat and avoided the other parents and played with Alex; and did some notes for Cigs.

As the session ended, the drizzle intensified so we had the planned picnic in the kitchen and then as it brightened, we hit Cramond Island for an adventure / photo opp. Busy busy out there, but the bos explored and enjoyed; we were back by 1530; painted some more and then took them back at 5;
My dinner guest arrived shortly thereafter and we did more(!) WHW planning - supplies, mostly and then settled in to lamb meatballs with the Ottolenghi sauce of mint /soy sauce / chilli / coriander / parsley / honey / vinegar in a tomato sauce; then steak with red wine reduction (jus is so last year); I think I may have collapsed before dessert was thought about / made.... A deep much needed sleep.
