American Red Cross Smoke Detector Program

Our little neighborhood community was host to an important American Red Cross (ARC) initiative today.
The American Red Cross has a plan to reduce home fire related casualties and deaths in the next 5 years,
Their goal it to decrease these statistics by 25%.
Education and the installation of smoke alarms free of charge are the two vectors for achieving their goal.
Teams installed over 100 smoke alarms today and they plan to return to complete the task of installing new alarms in every home.

My hat is off to the American Red Cross for instituting this national program to save lives across the USA.
