Hook, line and sinker

I asked G if he had anything I could use for the weekly challenge of Lead, and he had all kinds of things - a bottle opener from Teck Cominco (Trail, BC), the largest lead and zinc smelter in the world, pellets, all shapes and sizes of fishing sinkers, and other assorted items.  I had a bit of fun with this blip using one of the lead sinkers.
It's so weird to complain about lovely summer weather - but there's no improvement in the drought or fire hazard conditions and there's no relief in sight.  Some terrible forest fires in BC and just across the border in Washington.  Homes lost, people evacuated, so scary.  The leaves are falling off the trees, not because it's autumn but because the trees are dying.  Our well is still okay, thank goodness, but many others are not so lucky.  Desperate for rain - and lots of it!
