Excited

We really are delighted with this lovely Japanese anenome which has just burst forth into full colour.
It was given to us almost a year ago on a visit to Harefield in Middlesex a year ago by our dear friend Liz and her partner Tom. Truth is they both are blessed with green fingers and are much more experts in the fine arts of horticulture than we can ever pretend to be.
I had long admired the white flowered varieties growing in my wife's sister's garden, so it was a real treat to be given the pink variety as very tiny plants in addition to the White variety.
Since then my wife has been nurturing them with care and in anticipation of them producing flower, but we could not have expected such a treasure as this.
The pink petals are such a delicate and delightful shade. Curiously the White varieties we planted have yet to come into flower, and we are told it's usually the other way round.
No matter - we are delighted with this elegant flower and its colour. Result!
Thank you Liz and Tom.
