Well-being in Moldova

Dan is getting water for concreting from the Casa Helen well, just inside the gate to the house.  Water has already been drawn from the well for washing the floor, boiling water for the baboushkas' breakfast, for washing up, for our handwashing tub - it's a way of life here.  Most houses have their own well.  Occasionally a group of houses will share a well.  And each one is individually decorated and adorned with detail on the roof, sides or fencing around it, in the paintwork or metalwork.
But the water here has a sulphurous tang to it - definitely not for drinking if you have a delicate British stomach - and I have noticed that my silver wedding ring has turned brown recently!  It will need a good clean with Silvo when I get home next week.  Eek - yes, next week!
