Calm
This is the Calm before the storm
LooseCanon introduced Super Handyman Husband to a little App just over a week ago called "Blitzortung Lightning". So today I have been given frequent updates on the progress of the lighting strikes as they have made their way up from Europe and the Bay of Biscay. They got to Worcestershire at about 5.30pm.
This afternoon we went to Broadway for Afternoon Tea - a birthday present from one one my friends. It was very nice but she is a bit upset that the cake selection was not as good as that portrayed on the hotel website. I posted a picture on FB for her to see. She says she might complain! We enjoyed it but I did feel a bit full of stodge, fat and sugar, which I'm not used to these days. I think Afternoon tea can be a bit over rated sometimes. Hotels seem to think it's ok to charge a large sum of money for a few tiny sandwiches, a scone and a piece of cake. There were lots of wasps around in the sunshine in Broadway too. There were a bit of a pain.
Thought you might like to know, there are some very big dark grey clouds outside as I blip, and the App tells us that we have had 29 lightning strikes in the last 10 minutes... And if it's coming rom the South West which it seems to be, there is more coming...
This shot was taken from Broadway Tower looking over the Vale of Evesham. England at its best.
