Spanish star

This is dahlia 'Weston Spanish Dancer' and I picked up a plant of it way back in June on a visit to some gardens that were open for the day. It's a real stunner and will flower right through from June until October if I look after it. Then the trick is to try to get it to overwinter and enjoy it again next year. Should I lift the tuber when it's finished flowering or leave it in the ground and let it take its chances...

For the record: Very warm and sultry. It could end in a storm and torrential rain.
