Helter-skelter

What a glorious day!

Every Father's Day, around thirty thousand people cycle past our house on the London to Brighton Bike Ride. It's an incredible sight and they certainly had a perfect day for it - after the dreadful weather we've had recently, it couldn't have been better. Our Village Hall is at the halfway point and they always lay on a barbeque so we like to take a walk up there and have a burger soak up the atmosphere, which is great. There's also an ice cream truck, which is an added incentive, as well as a St John's Ambulance crew and a (very busy!) bike repair tent on the forecourt of the premises next door. They do seem to have everything covered!

Not as many people as usual dressed up this year so I didn't manage to get many funny shots but we did see Father Christmas again!

I've put a few other shots in my Blipfolio but today's blip is dedicated to Pink Bicycle Girl, who I suspect has more bicycles than pairs of shoes (I'm right, aren't I?!?).

:-DDD
