If you have to up sticks and rush to a meeting in Indonesia, having this view helps. Crazy to think this tip of the country was ravaged so severely by the 2004 tsunami. I'd never seen anything like that footage that was shown around the globe.

In other news the old cat at our place in Phnom Penh died while both of us are not there. Friends are true friends when they agree to put dead cats in boxes and take them to be cremated. Sweet release, really. It had senile dementia so couldn't remember ever eating, so whined hideously for food. Handily it also had digestive problems so could barely absorb anything. This just resulted in painful eardrums from the howling, an animal that was more like a decomposing corpse than a living organism and a constant need to pick up poo from the terrace.
