Red awnings

The coffee bar at Cape St Vincent, Portugal, has these nice stretched awnings creating some harsh midday shadows. Our holiday seems to have established a pattern. Our friends, Karen and Andy, take us out for a potter in the mornings, we stop for a coffee somewhere, have a bite of lunch back at their house and take it easy in the afternoon with a book by the pool or in the shade somewhere or have a joint assault on the crossword. At Cape St Vincent local fishermen fish from cliffs hundreds of feet high, hauling their catches from the sea, sometimes in a string net, lowered down for the purpose.
