POOCH PAMPER PARLOUR

The newest shop on The Grove opened today, happily it wasn't yet another Charity Shop, nothing against giving but like all towns nowadays Ilkley is plagued with them (is it me or do they all have that strange smell when you walk in?) Barkers is a Canine Emporium of the finest sort, everything from a rubber bone to a seaweed wrap to keep mans best friend in doggy nirvana, part of a chain this one follows Marlow & Wilmslow, don't get me wrong but the pampered poodles & lapdogs of the pseudo rich of Buckinghamshire &The  Wags of Cheshire may like this sort of thing but this is Yorkshire, grit, Mills & tight pockets, our dogs are rough, tough and hardy, it'll take more than shampoo & set to impress us!

Best of luck by the way, I haven't even got a dog!
