Keep on turning..

Dry,so went and brought the calved heifers in to tag and castrate their Angus calves.
Got a tow down to the garage with the Jeep and left it for them to drain out the tank and fuel lines and filters after last nights petrol fill up ! Borrowed their wee loan car so Mrs F could get in to work (2 Hrs late ! )
Went and baled the end rigs in the field I cut yesterday, and then helped cart them in while wee brother wrapped them.Tagged another lot of calves, then at tea time, went down the road to turn the wet rows of straw I couldn't bale last night. With luck they might go tomorrow. Just got that  done when I got a phone call to come home and calve a cow.
Just a bit tight,so got the calving jack on it and hauled it out, alive. The cow not too keen on it yet. Will likely need to suck it in the morning.
Have just finished filling all the tags and details in the record book, then registering them all with BCMS via the computer. They then send you an individual paper cattle passport for each calf, which must accompany it whenever it moves off the farm and gives a life history of all it's movements.
