Heading for home
Responsibility for our gorgeous granddaughters over for a few months, we head back to Dunoon after delivering them safely home in The East. The sun is already setting into the Mordor clouds over Argyll, even as we leave the high ground to the west of Harthill on the M8, and by the time we reach Greenock it will be raining. But it is a mild night, and we have no-one to worry about except ourselves.
We shall miss these two little people, but looking after them for a week has reinforced something we have known for some time:
There is a good reason for having children when you're young.
