Views of my world

Oak

I felt a bit the worse for wear today after a very lateen night, we had a guild meeting, accompanied by some prosecco and home-made cassis then a late night chat with one of the girls.

VERY sleep this morning when I woke up at 11 and wished I could have just rolled over and gone back to sleep but I had to get up to take the kids to their dads. They were planning an early father's day breakfast in bed for Carlos but as Freya and I were making the pancakes Noah took a helluva tumble off the kitchen stool and landed in a heap in the corner. It was quite scary as he got a real fright, he was shaking badly and hurt his leg, tummy and face, which he landed on.

I slipped into crisis mode and soon had him calmed, lying on the sofa, ice-packs in place, blanket on, hot cup of sweet tea to hand leg bandaged and no lasting damage done, thankfully.

We got out a little later than planned and dropped the children off then went to Carlos' flat in Pailsey for a final inspection as his tenant moves out soon and we have decided just to put it on the market. We've been holding onto it for 4 years but it is a constant drain so if we can just get rid of it and cover our costs we'll be happy.

We had a nice lunch on the way home then indulged in a power nap before going out for a lovely meal with friends at the Inverkip Hotel. Carlos hadn't eaten there before and we were very impressed both by the menu and the extensive range of whiskies to choose from. A perfect evening.

You don't need me to tell you that it rained all day so all I could manage (apart from the photos of all the stuff that needs done in the flat) is this BDB of the oak tree outside my living room window covered in raindrops.
