Higher Ground
I pass this field most days, but a couple of weeks ago it was newly ploughed and the shape of the furrows caught my eye as they snaked up the field in an S Shape to the tree at the top. I wanted to capture the furrows before the crop appeared as then the shapes would be lost with the new growth. Early British Law required every Ploughman to make his own plough and no one was entitled to use it unless they had made it themselves.
