The Cycle Path (by Craigmill Farm)
20.8C and bright with cloud and some sunny spells. Showers. Light breeze.
Maeve the Deerhound was out in her garden until just before lunch when she came in looking rather wet. I hadn't noticed there had been a shower, and Maeve hadn't bothered coming in.
Maeve and I went for a walk after lunch. It was brighter, and thankfully stayed dry. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road. We came back along the cycle path and went down to the beach at Westhaven via the level crossing. There were sheep in the field between the cycle path and the railway line.
We wandered along the beach to the fishermen's huts. The tide was had just started to come in. Valhalla A and the three smaller boats were lying on the sand near the shore. The red tractor was on the wet sand beside Valhalla A. The skipper was on board.
We came back over the road bridge over the railway then carried on round in a long loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home. Maeve was looking almost completely dry by the time we got home. Showers are forecast for the afternoon.
