Malibu

Our last day in the States turned out to be slightly fuller than anticipated after we got an email at breakfast telling us that the Heathrow-Leeds/Bradford leg of our return journey had been randomly cancelled without reason. Beck got on the phone to sort out a later flight and we got our afternoon flight of LAX put back too so that we could at least spend the time gained in California rather than at Heathrow. So we had an impromptu drive up to Malibu, wiled away a little time on the beach and had a very good lunch at Malibu Farms on the Pier. Unfortunately, a 9.40pm flight out of L.A. means that we'll basically miss out on Wednesday but hopefully we'll still come up smiling on Thursday morning...
