"Morayshire"
Seen here in all her LNER apple green glory heading along the foreshore at Bo'ness. At 103 tons overall, she is a fairly small engine but you would not think so as she rumbles past you.
This morning I was, with great reluctance, persuaded to go over to Bo'ness to the heritage railway. We arrived right on time only to find the coaching stock still being hauled into place (by a couple of old diesels) So, we walked along and found a good spot where we could get good shots of the trains on a bend in the track. It was not too long until we heard the steam whistle and saw the train in the distance.
A couple of moments and she was thundering by in clouds of steam and coal smoke. My trousers were soaking from the wet grass and it had leaked into my boots as well! Was it all worth it? You better believe it! Many thanks Maggie and Rona!
