Pierburger

A short hop form Hollywood to the slightly less frenetic setting of Santa Monica today. We went via the Getty Centre, where we picked and chose from the cultural delights on offer rather than attempting a full immersion. We looked at some paintings, some photographs, some classical sculpture and a really good exhibition of illuminated books. We drank some coffee. We wandered in the gardens. Afterwards, in Santa Monica, we did some more shopping, ate a slice at Joe's Pizza and checked into our (somewhat upmarket) hotel on the shore.
