He's Baaaack!

School started yesterday, so we are back in the doggie day care business with Blake again. He has had a very productive summer of training with Dana, is easy to walk and comes like a shot from the farthest reaches of the estate when he's called. He hasn't given up on trying to get Ozzie to play with him, though. A fruitless cause. If only Ozzie knew that a simple game of tug-of-war would keep Blake from bashing him in the head with a toy over and over….Humans aren't allowed to play tug of war with him.

Blake does an excellent dog pose, both upward and downward facing, but I'm really jealous of his double jointed hips. I put a picture of him in his favorite resting pose in the extras….would that be puppy pose?

The weather has turned cool and breezy, but even the wind has not succeeded in blowing away the smoke. There are so many fires burning that the army has been called in to help fight them, but no sooner do they get one under control than another one starts…a grim game of whack-a-mole. 

Although a few of them have been started by so-called 'dry lightning' most wildfires have man made causes…an exploding water heater, a driver driving on the rim causing sparks, a carelessly tossed cigarette butt. The legislature is considering criminal prosecution of anyone caught flying drones over the fires in an effort to get pictures. Air support has been and aerial tankers have been grounded temporarily five times due to dangerously close proximity of drones.
