Even the Birdbath got the treatment!!

Finished digging out between all of the stepping stones, about 30 of them, and filling with new gravel that was delivered yesterday. Half a ton doesn't look a lot (extra photo) but it's about 20 barrow loads from the front of the house, round to the back and then pulling up the steps to get into the secret garden!

After the gravel the stepping stones, and much of the patio, got the Bleach treatment (mentioned in past as the most effective treatment for the black spots and mould on the stones. The bird bath was looking very mucky so I got rid of the water and bleached it as well. There's plenty of water around for the birds at the moment and it will get a very thorough blasting with the hose pipe before any birdy drinking water goes back into it.
