THE DONKEY AT THE EULENKRUG

It was a wonderful day to go for a bike ride. Along the Weser, of course, because there we can cycle in a nice tempo, without climbing too much.
First to Lauenförde and from there to Meinbrexen. Where we had a pause, ate our sandwich and enjoyed the view over the big pond.
We cycled still a bit further to the Eulenkrug where three donkey live.
The one of the photo is a bit smaller than the other two, who came to the fench and wanted to be cuddled.
With the ferry we crossed the river and after a pause there we rode back on the other shore. It is so relaxing to cycle between the hills, the forests around us. Near Beverungen we descended again (remember we are not eighteen any longer) and laid in the grass, eyes closed, sunlight upon our faces.

The donkey lay down
Turned several times in the
Soft sand, enjoying
